Madame Pagu is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, researcher and educator. A lawyer and Master in Diffuse and Collective Rights since 2015, Pagu dedicates herself to her artistic production. Through collage, photography, textile art, and new media, she builds work immersed in the universe of the feminine, investigating the connection of human relationships with the perception of time and identity; conceptual and aesthetic references for her poetic practices and experiments.
A FORCA is part of the MOTHERHOOD project which investigates complex and sometimes silent violence into relationships between mothers and daughters. Based on the realization that idealized motherhood does not always translate into love and care, the project proposes a sensitive look at bonds marked by emotional neglect, trauma, and physical violence. By bringing to light denied memories and ambiguous affections, it aims to challenge the traditional image of motherhood and invite reflection on identity. The project is the artist's memories and engages with power dynamics, even those within each home where the imposed system infiltrates, disguised under different names. Pagu believes, “Every woman needs to recognize and believe in her own power to transform the world with affection, kindness, and wisdom.”
